The Mega Piraten Festijn will return to the GelreDome in Arnhem on Saturday, December 8, 2018. MPF organizer Eddie Mensink announced this on Saturday during a sold-out MPF at the stadium in Arnhem.

The first names have already been announced. There will be performances by Jannes, Jan Smit, Gerard Joling, Snollebollekes, and Ancora. The lineup will be expanded with twenty more top artists. The Mega Piraten Festijn has been touring the Netherlands since 2003. The first dates for next year's tour will be announced shortly. The traveling festival caravan proudly bears the title 'Europe's biggest sing-along party'. The format of the MPF has remained unchanged for years. A large number of well-known artists perform and presenter Willie Oosterhuis whips the audience into a frenzy. Willie is stubborn and simply presents in his Low Saxon dialect.

And everyone understands him. The atmosphere bursts off the stage! But the biggest artist is the audience itself: singing, dancing in a conga line, jumping around, or just watching everything with a beer in hand from a spot near the bar; everyone experiences the MPF differently. The Mega Pirate Festivals are not parties, they are celebrations. Celebrations of pirate life; celebrations for fans of these radio stations and celebrations of (mostly) Dutch-language music. For years, the MPF has been closing the season with a stadium edition. The GelreDome is packed to the rafters. Fans of Dutch-language music travel from all over the Netherlands to Arnhem to be there. The organizers also put on a big show full of surprises.
