In February 2007, Jan Dulles, Jaap Kwakman, and Jaap de Witte released their first national single under the name 3JS, after a ten-year run-up that had been of vital importance to the gentlemen. By playing in many different (English-language) bands, they learned to make music in as many styles as possible. This knowledge and experience ultimately came together in the repertoire of 3JS. An acoustic instrument-based folk-pop sound that then branched out into many other styles, with the Dutch language and the voice of singer Jan Dulles as important common denominators.

Through their participation in TV programs such as De Zomer Voorbij, De Beste Zangers van Nederland, and numerous appearances on programs such as DWDD, the 3JS have been able to showcase all sides of their musical talent, and their own music has become a permanent fixture on the radio.

In 2008, they took their first tentative steps onto the stage of the Dutch theater world. This proved to be the ideal platform for their Dutch-language lyrics, allowing them to explain them in more detail and reveal their deeper layers. Since then, they have come up with a new theater show every year, touring the country many times over. In this way, they have built up a very loyal fan base that is still growing steadily.

In 2012, guitarist/composer Jaap de Witte left the band due to a muscle disorder in his hand that made it impossible for him to play the guitar. His son Jan de Witte took over with verve, and in 2013 they released the album "Dichter bij de horizon" (Closer to the Horizon), for the first time in a new lineup.

That year also saw the start of the group's Acoustic Christmas tradition. What began as a trial run of two small acoustic Christmas shows in a venue with a capacity of 150 people grew into an annual tour of the larger venues in the Netherlands, with performances almost every day between Sinterklaas and Christmas.

After a productive period with Jan de Witte (two Christmas albums and three studio albums were released in this line-up over a period of five years), he also decided to leave the group. His ambitions to start his own project as a singer/guitarist/composer were too great to ignore. He continued as Blanko and has since released two solo albums.

Shortly thereafter, in 2019, Jan and Jaap found a worthy successor in their own village in the person of Robin Johannes Küller. He effortlessly found his place in the group as guitarist/singer and immediately contributed to the first single of the renewed formation, aptly titled "De Toekomst" (The Future). The Covid period meant a false start for Robin, but now he is an indispensable part of the band. During that period in the summer of 2020, the album 'De Aard Van Het Beest' (The Nature of the Beast) was released. This album entered the album top 100 at number 1.

In 2023, the 15th anniversary was celebrated in theaters, albeit a year late due to circumstances. At the same time, the 3JS released their 12th album, entitled "Mooie Tijden" (Good Times). This album was recorded in Los Angeles, in the private studio of Bob Clearmountain, the legendary producer/mixer who has worked with countless artists such as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Bryan Adams, etc. It is the group's twelfth album and is considered by the gentlemen themselves to be one of their best albums to date, but still... 'the best is yet to come'.
