George on Op1 about Quentin Tarantino

He is the man behind the most iconic films of our time: Quentin Tarantino. This weekend, the legendary director is in the Netherlands, perhaps for the last time, to promote his new book. Film journalist René Mioch has met him several times and joins Op1 with singer George Baker, who talks about how Tarantino changed his life forever.

Quentin Tarantino is coming to the Netherlands. He changed George Baker's life forever when he used his "Little Green Bag" in the film Reservoir Dogs. "I had never heard of that man, and probably no one else in the Netherlands had either at that time. That lasted until 1999, when Tarantino made Pulp Fiction. It became a huge blockbuster. Reservoir Dogs was still a bit of a cult film."

"In the nineties, things started to decline for me. I was incredibly popular in Germany, though. So from 1990 to 1999, I mainly worked in Germany. Until that film came out. Then I went from 50 performances in the Netherlands to 350 performances."
