From February 16, the cheerful 3D animated film 2 Kleine Kleutertjes: Een Dag om Nooit te Vergeten (2 Little Toddlers: A Day to Remember) will be showing in Dutch cinemas. The film is a treat for the whole family and the little ones. The film is based on an idea by Jan Smit and is based on the popular cartoons with songs, books with CDs, a DVD, and a theater show. All songs in the film were written and produced by Jan Smit & Edwin De Groot.
As a precursor to the film, the soundtrack will be released on November 5. The 2 Kleine Kleutertjes "Een Dag Om Nooit Te Vergeten" Songbook is available to order everywhere starting today. In addition, the soundtrack is also available immediately on all streaming platforms.
Ten years ago, I came up with the idea for '2 Kleine Kleutertjes' (2 Little Toddlers), and I am extremely proud that we will be releasing one of the first Dutch 3D animated films early next year. The toddlers are given characters and names in the film and in the new book. Anna & Joey have a dad and a mom, but also an uncle Bob! The fact that I get to voice this film with this huge star-studded cast and, above all, together with my daughter Emma, is what makes it so special. I hope everyone will start practicing the songs tomorrow, so we can all sing them together in the cinema in February," says Jan Smit.

The story
Anna (5) and Joey (4) will soon no longer be the only children in the family, as a new baby is on the way! On the day of the birth, their uncle takes them to the petting zoo. There, Joey immediately falls in love with a little goat, and when they escape from the petting zoo together, they go on an adventure. Along the way, they encounter all kinds of obstacles and learn to join forces and make lots of new friends. Together, they'll get there!

It is directed by Wip Vernooij, who previously directed successful animated films and series such as Moshi Monsters and Dr. Panda. The screenplay was written by Marc Veerkamp (Sesame Street, George & Paul).
