A few hours after the release, we already entered the iTunes chart at #1, and we are still there. The video was trending on YouTube this week: it was number 1 and in the next few hours it will exceed 265,000 views. On Facebook and Instagram, we constantly see videos of people singing along to 'Altijd' at the top of their lungs with their friends. "When we made our rounds last week and visited the radio stations, the listeners' reactions were nothing but positive and heartwarming. The clip is still being shared like crazy online, and we hear and read that people are genuinely happy when they listen to our song. We are grateful to them for that," says James Cooke.
Meanwhile, the success of "Altijd" continues to spread throughout the Netherlands. Tonight, Gert, Jan, and James will be appearing on the popular TV program RTL Boulevard. "And it all happened spontaneously," says Gert Verhulst. "Jan was staying on our boat as a guest for the week. He had brought his guitar and in no time at all the three of us were singing 'Altijd'. A sing-along, a catchy tune, call it what you will, but in any case, it's a song that sticks, with a strong chorus and universal lyrics about friendship.
