Jan Smit considers it an honor to become a coach on "The Voice of Holland": "I am incredibly proud
to be part of this high-profile show where
talented singers can showcase their talents. After a period of rest, I am eager to
immerse myself in all kinds of music again, mentor new talent, and
ensure that 'team Jan' wins the 11th season of 'The Voice'!"

has more than earned his stripes in the music industry and because he represents a genre
that we felt was missing from The Voice of Holland. Jan has had countless (self-written) hits in his career
and knows better than anyone what the pitfalls are for

opponent' for the other coaches."

About Jan Smit
The 34-year-old artist has been active in the music industry for almost 25 years, not only as a singer,
but also as a composer and songwriter. Jan's impressive career began at
the age of 10 with a duet with the Volendam band BZN. Over the years
Jan has reinvented himself time and again as a solo singer and member of
occasional formations such as De Toppers and schlager trio KLUBBB3. He has also been closely involved with the Eurovision Song Contest for many years as a member of the selection committee and commentator, and this year as presenter. In addition, Jan can be seen as presenter of Beste Zangers and Het Gouden Televizier Ring Gala, among other programs.

About The Voice of Holland
The eleventh season of The Voice of Holland will be broadcast this fall on RTL 4. The
presentation will be in the hands of Martijn Krabbé and Chantal Janzen.
Geraldine Kemper will also be making an appearance this season. Geraldine will be
the roving reporter during the Blind Auditions and can also be seen
backstage during the live shows. Filming of the Blind Auditions will start in early September.
