After more than 20 years, Kees Plat said goodbye to the Tribute to the Catsband last night in Purmerend. Last May, Kees announced that he had to leave the band due to circumstances, which came as a big surprise to them.
The band's initial reaction was, "What now? Should we stop? Or should we continue and find a replacement?" Kees indicated that he did not want the band to stop for this reason and that they should look for a successor. Until then, Kees would remain with the band. A new member has now been found for the band, and Kees Plat performed with the Tribute to the Catsband for the last time last night.
The band members, crew, and Volendam Music BV would like to thank Kees Plat for his inexhaustible energy and enthusiasm over the past 20 years. We would also like to thank his wife Marga for everything she has done for the band over the years.
