On Friday, November 8, Kees Tol is organizing the biggest and most enjoyable (house) party in the Netherlands. Together with musical friends, well-known artists, and surprise guests, Kees will be throwing a huge party at AFAS LIVE Amsterdam.
We all know Kees Tol as the cheerful presenter of VT Wonen: Weer verliefd op je huis(In Love with Your Home Again), Casino Royaal, Talenten zonder Centen (Talents Without Money), and various other programs on SBS6. As the Mole in Wie is de Mol (Who is the Mole), he surprised the whole of the Netherlands with his daring mole actions. Kees recently presented Over Gewicht (About Weight) for Net5 with Edsilia Rombley. And for AVROTROS, together with his musical friends Jan Smit, he presented De Zomer Voorbij (The Summer is Over) and Nick, Simon, and Kees presented The Dream, De 3 Sterren Camping (The 3 Star Campsite) , and Strandgasten (Beach Guests), in which they welcomed various musical guests. The documentaries about Simon & Garfunkel, ABBA , and the Beatles were widely praised for their humor, friendship, and expertise.
During Nick and Simon's farewell concerts last year, the idea arose backstage to really celebrate Kees' birthday in style and organize a fun, festive, and musical evening. Every five years, Kees celebrates his birthday with friends and family, but now it has to be big and for everyone! That's how Feessie van Keessie came about, for anyone who has something to celebrate and wants to have a fun evening.
Various artists will complete the party at AFAS, including Jan Smit, of course, but also his good friend Mell VF (formerly Mell & Vintage Future). The entire musical party will be accompanied by a super band led by Marcel Fisser. No party with Kees would be complete without the music of ABBA, which will be provided by ABBA Fever. Which other well-known artists will be making an appearance remains a surprise, but one thing is certain: it will be a fantastic party.
