Yesterday afternoon, the 3JS announced via a Facebook livestream that Acoustic Christmas Volume 2 will be released on November 25. The first single from the album, titled Spirit of Christmas, is a collaboration with singer Elske DeWall and will be released on Friday, November 11. The album features ten English-language tracks in a country/folk style, seven of which were written by the 3JS themselves.

Acoustic Christmas
At the end of 2013, the three troubadours from Volendam came up with the idea for a theater show in which they wanted to present their vision of a truly intimate Christmas concert. Acoustic. Two acoustic guitars, a piano, a bass guitar, and five voices. It started with two small shows. The following year, in 2014, a full 'Acoustic Christmas' tour followed between Sinterklaas and Christmas, with a Christmas album of the same name that went gold. In 2015, the tour became even bigger, and this year the band will once again be performing in many Dutch theaters during the festive month of December with their Acoustic Christmas Tour. No bells and whistles, probably no Mariah Carey, but Five Christmas Gentlemen, an atmospheric theater stage, and a selection from the traditional Christmas repertoire of the past 60 years, supplemented with their own compositions in the same style.

The 3JS consists of Jan Dulles, Jaap Kwakman, and Jan de Witte, all from Volendam.
The fact that 3JS is a successful formula is evident from, among other things, the four gold albums they have already achieved and the fact that all their previous albums entered the Top 10 of the album charts. Since September this year, they have been regular guests on Jan Smit's 'Elfsteden Tour' in honor of his 20th anniversary.
