3JS released "Vreemde Leegte" today. The song was written after the unexpected death of Donna, Jan Dulles' three-month-old daughter. "Vreemde Leegte" is a grand and compelling song about missing a loved one and the emotions that come with it.
"'Vreemde Leegte' is about the unpleasant, torn feeling we had when, after the funeral, life around us continued mercilessly as if nothing had happened. People who have ever lost a loved one know this feeling all too well, unfortunately. You can't yet cope with the idea that he or she is suddenly gone, and you hope for a sign from above."
