The iconic German Schlager singer Heino will once again grace the Dutch stage at Ahoy Rotterdam on April 5 and 6, 2024, during Festival der Liebe, the German-language festival organized by Chantal Janzen and Jan Smit.

About Heino

It has been an eventful year for Heino; he recently lost his wife and shortly afterwards was involved in a car accident. We are therefore more than honored that Heino will be gracing our stage. At the age of 80, Heino decided to stop singing and went on a big farewell tour, visiting no fewer than ten venues in the Netherlands. However, some five years later, his career is not over yet, so Germany's greatest folk singer is returning to the Netherlands for a one-off exclusive performance at Festival der Liebe. Heino is one of Germany's best-known folk singers and his greatest hits range from sea shanties to real 'schlager' hits. In the mid-1970s, he had his biggest hits with Blau blüht der Enzian and Die schwarze Barbara.
