Nick & Simon release NSG album

Nick & Simon released their new album NSG today. The starting point for the album was to write songs inspired by Simon & Garfunkel, both during the writing process and during the recording sessions.

The album was recorded at Henson Recording Studios in L.A. with producer and 12-time Grammy winner Jay Newland and a special group of musicians. Nick & Simon chose a recording method similar to that used by Simon & Garfunkel at the time.

Paul de Munnik, John Ewbank, Nielson, Matt Simons, Guus Meeuwis, Jaap Kwakman, David Björk, Andreas Moe, and Gordon Groothedde, among others, contributed to the music. The end result is the album NSG, which stands for Nick, Simon & Garfunkel, featuring 12 Dutch-language compositions that all possess the intriguing beauty of Simon & Garfunkel's oeuvre. The single "Oosterwind" was released earlier.

In addition to the 12 new songs, the deluxe packaging of the album includes a bonus disc with 10 Simon & Garfunkel covers that Nick & Simon recorded with the band at Wisseloord Studios. A limited edition LP version is also available in attractive gatefold packaging with colored vinyl and high-quality 45 rpm technology.
