Last week, the 3Js kicked off their theater tour "U2 by 3JS." They will perform more than 50 times throughout the country during the spring.
“The performances during Vrienden van Amstel in 2016 were so enthusiastically received by the audience that we wanted more. That's why we decided to go on tour the following year (2017) with a '25 years of Joshua Tree' tour. An ode to U2's best album. That was five years ago. The Joshua Tree is now 30 years old.”
This is the first time since the start of the coronavirus crisis that the band will be performing in theaters, and the guys are definitely ready for it. "We are five years older... and wiser. Life has not spared us. That's why I feel that the upcoming U2 tour will be even more intense than the previous one. I now understand some of the things Bono described in his songs much better. Things that were 'far from my bed' five years ago are now familiar to us in the Netherlands too. The world hasn't become a better place, but better times are coming. I can feel it," says Jan Dulles.
