Single 3JS: "Die Eerste Keer" (That First Time)

Today, the new single from the 3JS is released: "Die Eerste Keer" (That First Time).

Jan Dulles on the special journey of this song: "On Friday, May 3, we will release another single from our Limo album. People who have seen our theater show already know the song, but it is basically brand new. We wrote it two years ago and wanted to put it on the 'Mooie Tijden' album. We recorded the song in Los Angeles at the time, but it didn't make it onto the album because we felt it wasn't complete. In hindsight, we realized it needed a string quartet. With the strings, the song gets that dreamy feeling of a flashback to the past."

The theme of the song strikes a nostalgic chord: "The song is about a moment that most people can still remember: the first time you kissed someone. An impressive event that usually sticks in your mind. If, like us, you live in a village, you still regularly bump into those boyfriends, girlfriends, and classmates from the past. Now, of course, they are all parents themselves. Time flies. We forget a lot. But fortunately not everything."
